About The Founder

Nick Golding

As an investment banker for over 30 years, including 25 years exclusively focused on the financial technology sector, Nick Golding has advised on numerous M&A and capital raising transactions across the industry.

Prior to founding Golding & Company, Nick was a senior investment banker at several leading Wall Street firms.  Prior to Golding & Company, Nick was a Managing Director at Piper Jaffray in New York and headed the firm’s Financial Technology and Services practice.  Prior to that, Nick was with Credit Suisse (formerly DLJ) in New York, where he was responsible for the firm’s financial technology investment banking initiatives.  Prior to that he was with Citigroup (formerly Salomon Brothers) in New York and San Francisco, where he served clients in the financial services, technology and financial technology sectors.  Nick’s exclusive area of focus is the financial technology sector, including payment processing, financial software, bank processing, data services, and emerging financial technology companies.  His clients have ranged from industry leaders, such as Visa, MasterCard and First Data, to early stage Fin Tech innovators.  Nick has extensive M&A advisory and financing transaction experience, having advised on over $35 billion in completed transactions.  Nick holds a B.A. degree from Queen’s University.  He has experience serving on corporate and not-for-profit boards.
